Nazaha Party of Lebanon is dedicated to creating a Board of Directors that reflects the diversity of the Lebanese society in which we serve. We are volunteers from across Lebanon who care passionately about Lebanon’s future and promoting the Nazaha Party of Lebanon values. The board works together to provide oversight and guidance to the Party in all matters. We meet regularly to ensure the Party is prepared for the next upcoming election.
Nazaha Party of Lebanon seeks applications for several Volunteer Board of Director positions from experienced professionals candidates with past Board experience who are passionate about working with an organization that is being established.
The Volunteer Director will assist to develop and implement the Party’s strategy to take on an entrenched system and revitalize Lebanon’s pollical landscape. This person will be part of the Nazaha Party of Lebanon’s leadership and work closely with external partners and other stakeholders. Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and sophisticated analysis of the current political landscape.
The time commitment is a minimum of 2 hours per week, with overall commitment dependent on levels of activity. The Board of Director meetings is held remotely via video conferencing every month and typically last two hours.

- Specialize in targeting groups that can provide crucial support
- Previous Board experience, particularly in the not-for-profit sector
- Be an active participant in the board evaluation and planning efforts
- Ensure the legal and ethical integrity and accountability of the organization
- Stay informed about board and committee issues and prepare for meetings
- Disclose all material facts and relationships where there may be a conflict of interest
- Regularly participate in board meetings, committees, and strategic planning sessions
- Commit to a leadership role in the board, committees, fundraising, and special events
- Assist the Party in advocacy efforts and keep them current on political operations
- Supervising or managing, and coordinating press conferences, media interviews, and board meetings
- Work with the Executive to find the resources needed for its mission and to finance its programs
- Get to know other board members and build collegial working relationships that contribute to consensus
- Relationship building and fundraising and keep an eye out for opportunities to promote fundraising
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience running for office or managing an electoral campaign is preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English and Arabic
- Must have a strong work ethic, organizational skills, leadership skills, and the will to win.
- Proven track record of planning, managing, and executing electoral campaigns preferred.
- A willingness to pick open and principled debate with entrenched economic and political power while talking explicitly about how the powerful are using sectarianism and fear to divide us.
- A goal-driven, detail-oriented self-starter and problem-solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience with and knowledge of Lebanese politics and relationships with movement, labor, and community leaders preferred.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in grassroots organizing, labor, and/or electoral campaigns, preferably with experience in building grassroots political power with a culture of democracy and debate.
